The Purpose
The Bible presented plainly with commentary from a teacher and a pastor. Brought to you by the grace of our Lord by J. Hardin and J. Munson.
We call this first attempt "Let's open the door to more". In a dream, this idea seemed to be a gift from God. We were offered a web site with this same title. Rest assured we intend to remain In His Will!
Our web site operates to expand your understanding of the truth. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life". One way to understand what Jesus meant is to study Him through the Bible. We offer you a glimpse into our version of "Hi-lights" of the Bible. This is seen through the eyes and ears of "The Pastor's Corner" and "A Student's Notes".

I read Hi-lights weekly, and thank you for it!
Because your web site encouraged me, I have read much more of the Bible.

Students are more blessed than teachers. They never cease to learn. I've been a student of the Bible for 75 years, ever since "Cradle Roll" for three year olds. I've shared my notes with other students for at least 25 years. I would like to share some of them with you.
My credentials are not too impressive. I did graduate from a four year course entitled EFM (Education For Ministry) out of Sewanee, TN. Yet, far more valuable is the knowledge that I love God with all my heart. I would like to love my neighbors, but at least I care about their welfare.
My husband, the Rev. Durrie B. Hardin, who lived from 1902 to 2000, was my "concordance". Now I must look things up for myself. He was an unusual Christian. He lived the New Covenant.
So many intend to read the Bible, but find their lives busy and complicated. I hope these "hi-lights" of the New Testament encourage you to find the time to read and learn more "that your JOY may be full"!

The Reverend John Munson
I have learned many things from my mother, and the most important lesson is to have faith. Some say the Lord never gives you more than you can handle, but that is not true, nor is it scriptural. Life throws many things at us that we cannot handle alone. The Lord is there to help us bear the load. That is why we have faith that He is with us at all times. Without faith we are but a candle in the wind. Rather than being blown every which way by the wind, grab the anchor that is Christ and hang on!
Bachelor of Arts, Speech
Communications, Tarleton State University, 1983
Master of Divinity, Nashotah
House Seminary, 1992
