This new life for Paul did not go smoothly. His conversion was so dramatic and convincing, that his joy in the Spirit should have been contagious. Yet all that heard him in the synagogues were amazed and suspicious, for he began to preach of Jesus and Him crucified. This was a man who had set out to kill Christians. They conspired to kill him.
